I am a loyal and dedicated individual who has an ambition to succeed in any given environment. I take pride in having high professional and ethical standards. I have extensive experience in the field of computer and information technology. I thrive in both independent and collaborative work environments. In addition to the foregoing, I am a thought-provoking and students’ friendly person who believes in the younger generation’s capacity and keen on inspiring them and provide all support to develop them as a great assets to the country and to the society.
Achievements

Effectively designed, tested and evaluated the National Oil Corporation (NOC) digital library in Libya to boost up the services provided to end users.

Successfully pioneered and created general guidelines for design of a low cost digital library services to assist in meeting the needs and requirements of special library users in developing countries and the Arabic speaking world by utilizing non-commercial content management systems. The abovementioned guidelines were presented at World Library and Information Congress: 75th IFLA general conference. Milan, Italy 23-27 August, 2009.
Professionsl Experience

Teach and educate undergraduates and postgraduates students in the field of information studies.

Train and instruct undergraduates and postgraduates students in the use and utilization of open source content management systems such as Greenstone, Fedora, Eprints and Dspace.

Highly proficient and experienced in designing digital libraries and institutional repositories by using content management systems.

Extensively practised in managing , organizing and administrating conferences, symposiums and seminars.

I am involved as an academic editor with large numbers of international journals devoted to the field of computer and information science. In addition to that, I have been appointed since 2010 to serve as advisory board member for over than sixty international conferences which were held in different parts of the world with the aim to endorse, promote and facilitate the aforementioned field.
